Communities of Mission

Surround yourself with other hot coals.

_______

Mission can be difficult without a team to support you. Communities of Mission aim to gather local Catholic leaders, a majority of them FOCUS alumni, so they can share a vision for and commitment to evangelization.

Members come together regularly, witnessing to God’s work in their personal apostolates and partnering for greater impact in their local area. Equipped with spiritual and financial support from the FOCUS Alumni team, they’re able to offer world-class formation, timely events and a network of encouragement.

Communities of Mission bridge the gap between campus outreach and lifelong mission for staff and student alumni alike. Will you join us?

The Catholic Culture Tour

_____

Stopping multiple times a year in key cities, the Catholic Culture Tour supports the creation and continuation of a Community of Mission. Formative talks on the witness of life and the Word offer a cornerstone for deep discussion, while shared meals and liturgy ensure attendees leave the day-long event empowered to transform the culture.

Local Leaders

_____

Alumni across the country are stepping up to coordinate Community of Mission efforts in their diocese. These coordinators meet monthly in regional groups to share best practices, and serve as the point person for evangelization partnerships. Most importantly, they have a deep heart for serving the people of their diocese.

Alumni Reunions

_____

“It’s like swapping war stories with your best mates,” say former missionaries when describing the power of getting together with other alumni. Whether they served together on campus or not, a reunion offers a sense of being known and determination to keep living a life of prayer and mission. Check back often to see where and when we’re gathering next.
